Spam is email from a person or company who you never signed up to get email from. This annoying email is a waste of time, diskspace and bandwith, but unfortunately something we all must live with. Even though anti spam laws have been put in place, people who send spam will most likely not adhere to the laws so the only thing left to do is to try to filter out as much of it as you can.

If you have your email listed in an online advertisement, on a website or have published it in a forum, it is likely that it will be harvested for one of these lists.
