A Site For Everyone Who Hates Spam and Pop Ups

Using a spam software Tool

Employing a spam software tool to reduce the amount of email spam you have to wade through can give you extra time in your day.

Spam is email from a person or company who you never signed up to get email from. This annoying email is a waste of time, diskspace and bandwith, but unfortunately something we all must live with. Even with new anti spam laws, there is little hope that spammers will adhere to the laws so the only thing left to do is to try to filter out as much of it as you can.

How Spammers Get Your Email Address

Most spammers harvest email addresses from the web. Sometimes when you order something your email gets sold to a list, but most times it is harvested from a web site. If you have your email listed in an online advertisement, on a website or have published it in a forum, it is likely that it will be harvested for one of these lists. Unfortunately, once they get your email, no anti spam software, not even a spam software tool can erase your email from these lists.

How Spam Can Be More Than Just An Annoyance

You need a spam software tool to filter spam, but you should also have a good antivirus tool as well. Spam emails can be infected, so clicking on them can open your computer up to a virus. It is estimated that almost all viruses are spread through email. Typically, a virus will spread by infecting a computer and then mailing itself out to everyone on the address list. Some other viruses can even open a “back door” on your computer which spammers then use to send out more junk mail.
